In this video I compare a standard New Balance Leadville 1210 trail runner, to a Gortex Salomon Ultra II hiking shoe, and a Bogs Ultra Mid rubber boot as I cover conditions ranging from a short wet day hike to spending multiple days hiking in feet of snow.

Absolutely, gortex doesnt breath at all. great for heavy boots but not hiking shoes.
